In Taiwan!

Published by Cruz under -

I’ve arrived in Kaohsiung!

Presented by Dynasty Travel and MediaCorp Y.E.S 93.FM, the Autumn Tour @ Taiwan starts today!

Dennis is the main IC from Dynasty; and any special requests that I have will go to him. Since this is my 11th time in Taiwan, and I know that it’s virtually impossible for me to have difficulty finding Coke, my only question was if I’ll have internet access in the various hotels and resorts we’ll be at.

Apart from the spa resort that we’ll be staying at on Monday night, I’ll be able to stay connected with the rest of the world throughout this trip. Woohoo! :)

My bags were packed four hours before departure. I had been so busy the last few days.

The Nuffnang Blog Awards Ceremony was held last evening. What a night. Congrats to Joanne, who won Best Celeb Blog! We were seated with Xiaxue, who walked away with three awards, including Region Best Blog, and Kenny Sia, who took home Best Entertainment Blog.

Nuffnang did an excellent job-everything from the venue set up to the nomination videos. (Though I think the budget for the performance items could have been put to use.) Ming, from Nuffnang has generously agreed to match my donation dollar for dollar. Cool!

50 weeks. 50 states. 50 jobs.

Published by Cruz under -

We talked about this on WRM this morning.

A homeless, jobless graduate has taken on the credit crunch blues and won by finding 50 different jobs in 50 states in 50 weeks. He worked as a lobster catcher, a jazz conductor, TV weatherman in Ohio and even a Las Vegas wedding planner.

The question was, what would our listeners like to do? Here are some of the answers that me laugh out loud.

My friends joined in the conversation too. Tsk.

I was a child model when I was 6. When I say catwalk, I don’t mean walking like a cat like what Jiahui suggested. Apart from a 2 month stint in a DIY store, and an internship at a shipping firm during my poly days, all the money I’ve ever earned so far came from Radio. And maybe a little from the mahjong table.

It’s a real coincidence that Vincci (my hair stylist) and I were talking about this yesterday. Why do people leave their jobs, despite liking what they do?

“还不就是为了那口气?” Hmmmm.

What do I want to do after 30?

Still Radio. :)

Back from Bangkok… To ‘act cute’…

Published by Cruz under -

I didn’t really do much in the 48 hours in Bangkok. People could be berating me, “Why didn’t you eat/buy/do this and that?!” Shopping was definitely optional, I thought. Until I spent close to 200 bucks at the airport an hour before flying off. Oh well.

I had a hard time looking for a suitable flight. Neither SQ not TG had the timings I wanted. Fortunately, there was CX (whose flight reminder service had me rolling my eyes for a while. NotiFLY. A little corny lor. Hahaha) (More pictures here)

I had to be back for my godson’s 21st birthday party on Saturday evening. We were all excited about this little boy turning 21. But I can’t say the same for his party theme. Hahha.

This was the only tee which remotely matched the theme. :P

Happy 21st Birthday, GERALD!

By the time I arrived for the party, the hungry crowd had almost finished the buffet dinner. The other guests were totally shocked to see piping hot pasta served to me. By the boss herself, no less.

Priscilla was once in charge of promotions at Y.E.S. 93.3FM, and saw me grow from a pimply 16 year old teenager to who I am today. The running joke is that I belong to the same category as Aaron Kwok and Eric Suen- all of whom were taken care of by Pris before. Hahahha!

She now runs With A Pinch of Salt. Lovely place.

Bangkok tomorrow, Taiwan next week.

Published by Cruz under -

Remember how I made four trips within seven weeks at the end of 2008? I’ve confirmed three return flights so far. If I can squeeze something in between, I’ll be able to equalise that record. Haha.

Ahead of the Y.E.S. 93.3FM-Dyansty Travel Taiwan Autumn Journey from 24 Oct, I’m making my way to Bangkok after the morning show tomorrow.

There’s the 15th Singapore Hit Awards Ceremony on 6 Nov, and two examinations in the following weeks. If I don’t do a solo retreat now, I won’t have time to do so. I need an authentic Thai massage. (Here grak, there grak, everywhere grak grak!)

My cheap (ie restricted, no changes allowed) air tickets were forfeited in July because of the H1N1 scare. So there’s no stopping me from making this trip. Not even the demonstration by the Red Shirts this Saturday.

死路一條

Published by Cruz under -

s.i.l.l.y

Published by Cruz under -

I’ve been doing the morning show for six years, but my biological clock has yet to register a regular pattern. Every other day, I worry about oversleeping. The tension increases when my partner is away. Like tomorrow.

The shock. The fear. The anxiety.

Promise me you’ll still love me even if I’m late. Hahahhaa. :P

P/S: It does show that dental hygiene is top on my mind hor?
