Last year’s Singapore Radio Awards saw Bharati Jagdish being named the Most Popular Radio Personality for 938LIVE. In 2007 and 2008, she bagged the title of Best News Presenter at the Mediacorp News Awards. Her radio documentary entitled “A Question of Faith” won several awards including MediaCorp’s Best Current Affairs Programme Award in 2007.

Bharati spent the first 5 years of her radio career at the international arm of MediaCorp Radio, Radio Singapore International. Since being with 938 LIVE, Singapore’s only local news and talk radio station, she has hosted the evening show, “Express” and now hosts the highly-rated morning show, “FRESH!” which encompasses the station’s signature call-in show “Talkback” during which she speaks with ministers, MPs, specialists and the public. Last year Bharati was the co-presenter of many live forums related to the General and Presidential elections.

Bharati’s media experience extends to television as well. For two years in a row (2009 and 2010), she was the English commentator for the TV broadcast of Singapore’s National Day Parade on Mediacorp’s Channel 5. She is also the host of Channel 5′s current affairs series, “Singapore Talking”.

Her radio career has propelled her into the voice-over market as well. She is currently a sought-after voice-over talent. Her voice has been described as authoritative, sonorous and even mellow – a testament to her versatility. She’s worked with clients such as Hewlett Packard, Spring Singapore, Housing and Development Board, Mindedge Academy, Ministry of Education and the Singapore Exchange.

As an engaging on-site host, she has been master-of-ceremonies at many events for the Ministry of Home Affairs, CMC Markets and the National Library Board among other clients.
