Shaik joined the Radio industry in June 1991. Today, he embarked his radio journey as Warna 94.2FM’s Personality.

Before joining radio, Shaik has been in the show business as DJ and Emcee for many private and corporate events since 1986. For the past 21 years, he has been the resident voice-over talent for hundreds of TV and radio commercials, trailers and he lent his voice too for various overseas documentaries.

Shaik has also acted in a few Malay stage and theatre performances in Victoria and Kallang Theatre as well as on local TV comedy series and hosted some TV programmes including Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM).

His biggest breakthrough was the prestigious invitation to do a one-man stand-up comic at the Esplanade in August 2007. It was a big success as almost 100% of the tickets were sold out.

Shaik has a strong pool of ardent fans and followers. Often, he is the choice as a personality to accompany sponsored trips organized by travel agencies. Certainly, the campaign for these travel agencies pays off as sign-ups have always been favourable.

Being bilingual in English and Malay and having a flair for Hindi and Arabic, he has hosted many events as Emcee for corporate and company functions, dinner and dances, concerts, product launches, birthday parties and many more. This also includes MediaCorp Radio corporate events. Some of the formal events that he played role as Master of Ceremony includes those honorable ones that have The President of Singapore, Prime Minister, Minister and top ranked Government Officials and MPs as Guests of Honor.

Shaik has also graced more than 1,000 weddings since 1986 as Master of Ceremony, at the early age of 17 years old. Occasionally he receives invitation to host weddings and events overseas like in Malaysia and as far as Dubai.

Shaik also has won the hearts of Warna listeners as he was voted and awarded as Warna’s “Most Popular Radio Personality 2007”. At the same event, Radio Awards 2007 organized by MediaCorp Radio, he also won the “Personality of The Year 2007 – Media’s Choice”. This award was judged by members of the Media. His latest win is the Personality of the Year 2010 – Media’s Choice.

Shaik certainly entertains everyone – from children to adults and the senior folks – amicably and wholeheartedly.
