PLACES TO BUKA PUASA

ello Muslim friends! This week, we devote our food hunt to the best places to buka puasa. Where do you go to break fast? Share with us and the best recommendation gets a Gold Gift Pack on Friday!

  • i would go 2 hajah maimunah at jalan pisang they got more then 50 dishes includng siput sedut nangka lemak ikan bakar etc. and 5 types sambal + 20 types of dessert like kueh jongkong bubur kacang hijau bubur hijau bubur terigu n drinks of colours… It sure beat cookng myself… yum yum – hamimah
  • BEDOK CORNER! a kaleidascope of stalls 2 choose frm. frm tasty tender mouth watering satay to chewy steamed crockles dipped in chilli sauce..ayam penyet..all i can say… YUMMYLICIOUS!wish i hv a phd in yummysology. haha. – frm famy. btw, i m 27 n i luv GB!
  • guys for me, it’s not just 1 restaurant, but 1 area. The bermuda triangle of food. North bridge rd, jalan pisang n kandahar st. Best murtabak n prata in new victory n zamzam. Over 50 delicacy in hjh maimunah, abak’s briyani dam, ramadan food bazaar with 100′s of kueh . It’s simply awesome n mouth watering. you’ll be lost in just 10 min. Malik
  • there’s one place thats good for buka puasa, the Yusof Ahmad Family stall at amk central beside the K-box Plaza…they serve great mee soto and sup ayam…the chicken broth is superb and by adding their famed chilli and a bit of dark soy sauce, u will get the kick in it…then the mee rebus is one of the best as the gravy is thick and delicious…lastly, the satay is great, especially the mutton satay, sweet and juicy…when dunk in the satay gravy…wow…btw, one of the stall owner is hardy mirza father…so go and have a try…or maybe hamish have tried it before…hahaha – aidil

  • New geylang serai market food court is tantalising & mouth wathering place 2 break yr fast. Yr starter wth various types of hot or cold drinks including ‘katira’ to ‘apam balik’ & traditional malay kueh like ‘jongkong’ &’badak berendam’ patched yr quench for the day. Yr other additional courses may include roti jala,roti canai,roti mariam, roti john or prata for the light eaters. Sinar pagi nasi padang or any of the biryani dum stalls there will fill u up n makes u drop dead thereafter. Whatever u want to eat there – choose the stall with queue – there bound to be nice food served. At the end of the day by 6.30pm the biryani stall will be sold out n the owner will place a sign read’ biryani habis – besok puasa lagi’. Iskhandar- tampines
