  • HONG LIM HAWKER CENTRE 2 elderly men takes turn to fry the cha kwey teow at e corner stall. Skillful – right control fire with no burning taste..using eggs white in color, chinese luncheon,Cockles, bean sprout, black sauce taste just right not too sweet with the fried kwey teow smell..tastes great when fried abit soggy and mainly added all cockles with chilli for me! CINDY LEE :)
  • Apollo Chay Kuah Teow at Marine Parade Hawker Centre, near to the toilet area. Is really Kuah Teow only, no mee. And with lots of garlic. – Linda Lee
  • Margaret drive hawker center. Hai kee. The kway teow is is not too dry or wet. The texture is perfect. Ingredients include cockles, chinese sausages if you dont like cockles. Best of all, they fry it with the lard that makes it so fragrant. Normally to get a plate of kway teow would take you half an hour and cost you only 2 dollars! So its the best! Matthew.

  • Denise recommends: No 18. Zion Road Fried Kway Teow,
Zion Road Riverside Food Centre, 12pm – 3pm/6pm to 11pm daily.
I’ve been going there since I was 12 years old and while I agree with other foodies that it used to be better, I still can’t resist a big plate of the addictive stuff! Why and the way I like it: The chef is always accomodating when it comes to my crazy requests – Char Kway Teow white, no sweet sauce, no lap cheong, extra chilli, tau gay & see hum! And it always turns out wonderful. He doesn’t even mind my family’s odd requests for an extra plate of stir fried spring onion, tau gay and cockles alone. The noodles have a real “wok hei”, lovely crisp burnt bits and just the right amount of seasoning. Crunchy beansprouts, sharp yet sweet spring onions and the semi-cooked cockles all get togetehr to create a party in your mouth!

The aromatic fragrance of fresh garlic so well infused into d moist kway teow mee, coupled with d juicy cockles, eggs n all d sauces make this dish one to die 4.
