Great Char Kway Teow!

I love char kway teow – cholestrol be damned! But I’m pretty picky about how it’s done – purists will scoff, but I like mine white (sans dark sweet sauce), with tons of chilli, hold the lup cheong (chinese sausage) and extra cockles.

Bugis St Fried Kway Teow did it perfectly and with a smile. Great wok hei, piping hot, spicy and super tasty! They also serve up hokkien mee, oyster omelette and carrot cake (all $3-$5). But for a little extra, you can have their creative dishes, like noodles with limpets or pacific clams ($6-$8) or their hokkien mee + oyster omelette hybrid, fried oyster mee!
