Tulang, sipaku, Tulang!

My favourite mutton soup place in S’pore – Why? Its deep, rich, meaty flavour and throat-tickling peppery kick of the fragrant broth! I’m not a fan of its milder, sweeter, herbal Chinese cousin. Give me a steaming-hot bowl of spicy goaty goodness any day!

Behold Bahrakath Soup Kambing! Silky smooth, spicy-savoury with a peppery punch and full of tempting little meaty morsels to nibble on.
But don’t worry, the mutton isn’t too pungent or gamey. I stuck to “normal” parts, like leg and rib, but if you’re “game”, there are other delicacies to choose from – brain, tripe, tongue, etc. You can also add bread for dunking and sopping up all the juices left in the bowl.

Mmmm… tender, tasty meat… creamy, melt-in-your-mouth fat, crunchy cartilage and tendon, plus MARROW in the bone!

Stall 10, Adam Road Food Centre
Open daily 1pm – 3am

Some other good things to eat @ Adam Food Centre:

Noo Cheng Adam Road Prawn Mee
Briny-sweet prawn mee – yum! Lovely big, fresh crustaceans in a heady broth. Most say the soup version is better than the dry version – I agree, so stick to that!

Bonus for seafood lovers, you can also have a delectable platter of Teochew-style cold crabs at this modest little hawker stall. Sweet and creamy, just dive in with bare hands and pick away at the delicious meat and egg.

The ubiquitous mutton murtabak – a must when you’re at Adam Food Centre.
