Teochew Steamboat

Published by Denise at 11:50 am under Food,On Today's Show

Tin Heng is a seafood restaurant that does teochew-style zi char dishes and awesome steamboat. Because they’re teochew, you know they know their fish, especially pomfret – I highly recommend their pomfret steamboat, along with a few choice side dishes…

You’ve got to try their tofu specialites – deep fried layered tofu skins dipped in chilli sauce and also braised tofu skins with fishcake and golden mushrooms, smothered in a thick gravy.

Their crispy roast chicken with salt and pepper and  braised chicken feet are good too.

The pomfret slices are fat and fresh, cooked to white, firm perfection in the boiling stock!

We had 3 plates of their sliced beef – good quality with excellent fat marbling through the meat.

Tasty stock enriched with dried fish slices and aromatics.

Wash down your meal with their soothing, cooling luo han guo drink.

Ting Heng is excellent for balmy evenings when the sun goes down and u want to dine alfresco. But they also have an indoor air-conditioned dining area too, if you prefer.
