hmmm i think it’s some kind of ‘spring roll’… wrapped like the big otah in spore
the white part is like our chui kuey~~ the orangy part… i dunno hahaha
this is yummy~~~ the soup is a lil like tom yum, but not so spicy~~~
close up of ‘quang’ which is like 2 layers of slim slim kuey tiao…
the ‘pale’ corn… not v tasty per my friend~~~
it’s like chu mi fen soup~~~
lastly… pho bo… 3 different noodles at the hotel’s buffet breakfast~~

another speciality of Hoi An – Cao Lau!!! [what a name~~ ;p]
cheap cheap~~~ i think VND10,000 is about SGD0.75
this is from one of the local restaurants in Hoi An old town~~~
suppose to have long queue but there wasn’t any~~~

spring roll + grilled squid + grilled chicken + noodles + 2 drinks = VND180,000
the restaurant opposite the hotel… full dao~~~

lastly… dinner at roadside stall 路边摊 @ hoi an ancient town
the seasonings… the viet must have – fish sauce, lime n chilli
it’s cao lau again~~~
the grilled pork noodles… [somehow the pork is usu more chewy than tender]
but still yummy la… the noodles usu come with loads of mixed veggies…
maybe that’s y they are all so slim~~~
