Kyushu is Japan’s third largest island, located southwest of the main island Honshu. An early center of Japanese civilization, Kyushu offers many historic treasures, modern cities and natural beauty.

first picture taken on shuttle bus to domestic airport, so as to get to the car rental company… due to the relatively warmer temperature compared to honshu (ie japan main island) it’s still autumn…
[btw it's fukuoka airport, sq flies direct to fukuoka!]
Oita — Rural area well known for abundant onsen hot springs especially Beppu

hahaha a bit too short… hence u can only see the top teeny weeny portion of the english station name~~
this is the famous beach sand bath at beppu~~ not as hot as i expected.. but having the sand covering the whole body is like having a vacumn-packed body wrap..

everywhere is full of fallen leaves… it’s like a yellow carpet!!

one of the autumn-coloured trees…
