Gold Coast – 15 June 2007 (Cool Winter Weather; 19°C)
Took an overnight flight to Queensland, Australia. Well, tried to get as much sleep as possible during the 7-8hours flight so that i can start my vacation immediately… ha ha ha… Got a convertible this time… so “COOL”!
Went to Mermaids Dinning Room and Bar for breakfast… Fantastic views of Surfers Paradise from Mermaids. Wonderdul feast for breaky!

We stayed at Q1. This is the tallest residential building in the world… Fantastic views from the room. You must go to the Observation Deck @ 77th floor, 230m into the sky! You can see the hinterland and the coast from there…. 360-degree views! Guess what, the lift took approx. 45sec to get from the 1st floor to the 77th! YES 45 SECONDS!!!!

We visited Palazzo Versace, the first by the late Versace. This is hotel is a landmark in Surfers cos it is fully furnished by Versace and boasts Roman architecture and European palace-style opulence. All the floor tiles in the hotel were hand laid, 1 by 1, by the layers from Italy, including the driveway which took 6 months. All paintings in the hotels were collections of the late Versace, they were carefully selected and brought over from his various palaces in Europe. Everything is Versace… EVERYTHING! Actually, it is not that expensive to spend a night there when you compare to our local 5-star hotel. I want to stay here next time!

Wow so good can go overseas… all your photos very nice… ermmm like very professional leh… hope that next time i can go Queensland for a holiday trip…
